The ship is carrying the name MSC Francesca and has maximum capacity for 11,300 teu. MSC Francesca is really one of the most modern and very profitable vessels, which has ever been built. The constructor of this beautiful ship was Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, which is the largest heavy ships builder not only Korea, but almost in whole Asia.

The ship was built under yard number S344. MSC Francesca was completed in 2008 for the Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A, with port of call in Panama. The ship was built according to latest requirements of IMO and SOLAS. The ship is modern, highly profitable and environmental. MSC Francesca has length of 363.57 meters and beam of 45.60 meters. The container vessel has draft of 15.00 meters, when fully loaded with cargo. The ship has deadweight of 171,400 metric tons and gross tonnage of 131,771 gross tons. When fully loaded the ship has more than 11,300 containers capacity, which is hard job for cargo handling

The main engine is giving total power of 58,344 kW, which is enough for the vessel to reach maximum speed of 22.3 knots. The cruising speed is a little bit lower – MSC Francesca shiponly 21.6 knots, but ship is having lowest possible fuel consumption on this speed loaded with cargo. The innovations in propulsion system are making the vessel with lower fuel consumption and increase the power of the main engine. In the years, when worldwide organizations are following pollution strictly, it is necessary to have decreased CO2 emissions and to have high protection of water pollution. The container ship MSC Francesca has all these features. The ship is operating for MSC Lines in its Silk Express service situated between the Far East Asia and North-Western Europe. The routes are highly loaded and the traffic in these locations is quite big, so only new, modern and good equipped vessel can sail between such ports.
