BAO FU
One of the largest and most modern bulk carriers of the world definitely is the newly built vessel BAO FU. The ship was completed in the Asian Ship-yard of Namura Shipbuilding – Imari. Definitely this ship-yard is among the highest quality and largest in the world, created some of the best known ships sailing around the oceans with thousands tons of cargo. The bulk carrier BAO FU was completed on 26th October 2010, having deadweight of 250,877 metric tons and overall length of 329.95 meters. You can easily see the size of this bulk carrier and imagine how such machinery can be constructed. The ship BAO FU has length between perpendiculars of 321.00 meters, beam of 57.00
meters and depth of 25.10 meters. The gross tonnage of the ship BAO FU is 132,536 gross tons and the draft, while fully loaded can reach 18.00 meters. BAO FU vessel is designed to be ore carrier. The transportation of heavy cargoes usually make some restrictions in ship strength and design. Large and small cargo holds interchange alongside of the vessel, which is basic feature of ore carriers. Such design is important for ship’s strength and stability while carrying cargoes or sailing under ballast. The ship is the first from the series of vessel designed with such sizes in Imari Shipyard. The bulk carrier BAO FU is WOZMAX type ship, which means that the ship is following the restrictions of Western Australia ports. The design of the ship is improved, having low water resistance, reliable engine with decreased CO2 emissions and BAO FU shipbetter crew accommodations. The ship-builders installed Namura flow Control Fin (NCF), which helps for improving propulsion performance and saving heavy fuel, while voyaging. The propeller of the bulk carrier BAO FU is highly effective, which increases power from propulsion system. The water resistance was decreased with special anti-fouling paint, which is stronger, more environmental and of course water streamlined. BAO FU cargo ship is really compatible with most of the largest ports world-wide. The mooring arrangements also satisfy the requirements of Ponta Da Madeira in Brazil. This is highly required by the company ordered this ship, because the vessel must sail around the world on most profitable destinations and voyages. The ship is really meeting the latest requirements in technology of ship-building. The main engine is from latest generation MAN B&W 7S80MC-C (Mark-7), which has higher productivity, lower CO2 emission and low fuel consumption. The engine is really quality, having good innovations, as the whole ship too. The accommodations are more spaceful for the crew.
The bulk carrier BAO FU is really one of the largest and most innovative ships built ever. The ship is new, and will operate in the largest ports of the world on all the continents. The owner of the ship is Wealth Line Inc, which is managed by FUKUJIN KISEN CO. Definitely the company is operating with many bulk carriers, providing quality transportation service.
